The mission of the faculty of  Medicine is to pursue the highest standards of education and training, in medicine and related subjects, so as to enhance the health and wealth of the people of Sirt and the wider world. This is achieved through graduating a well-qualified doctors who are capable of yielding a good health system inside and outside Libya. The faculty follow the 6-year programmers study. This curriculum structure enables students to use knowledge and skills of the basic medical sciences and the clinical disciplines within a structure that combines traditional learning methods with aspects of a problem-based approach. This also enables them to contribute to research scientific programmers over the world. The faculty has a good relationships with other medical institutes inside and outside Libya in order to share the medical and scientific experiences.
